I finally broke down and made a Teacher Toolbox to match my new classroom decor. I have beautiful, calming green walls and I wanted to add a little spice this year, so I am incorporating pops of zebra print around the room (a post with pics is coming soon). My room is huge with really tall ceilings so I don't have to worry much about it looking too busy, but I can see how that might be the case in a smaller room.
I started with this 39 drawer Parts Station from Calloway House (I love their stuff mainly because they sell things that are color-coded and just happen to use the 6 colors I use in my classroom (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)).
The large drawers measure 4.25"w x 2.188"h and the small ones measure 2"w x 1.313"h. I printed the labels on regular printer paper, cut them out and laminated them. You'll notice, I rounded the edges with my X-ACTO Corner Rounder Punch. It made them fit a little better and fancied them up a bit.
After trimming off the extra laminating film, I hot glued each label on the front of each drawer. I have also attached them to the inside of each drawer with 2-sided tape, but I just wanted to try something a little different. (So far, I like the hot glue method a little better. I think it will be more durable and won't fall off.)
And just in case you want to create one for your classroom, I have posted these labels in my Teachers Pay Teachers store for only $2. CLICK HERE to be taken directly to the product in my TPT store.
Happy crafting and organizing, y'all!
